David Rupp is a principal with McCann Del Greco Associates, LLC. David leads the firm’s Napoleon, Ohio (a suburb of Toledo) office, representing private business buyers, sellers, and owners who seek to acquire capital for expansion.

In addition to his role with McCann Del Greco, David is president of Penrod & George, the CPA firm he joined in 1971; CEO of 20/20 Custom Molded Plastic; and managing partner of RDD, Ltd., a real estate management company.

As a CPA and business consultant for more than 30 years, he has guided numerous companies, of various industries, through the events of their growth, merger and acquisition, sale, and through the emotionally charged issues of succession planning, retirement, and the shifting of business ownership.

A business owner himself, David has bought and sold his manufacturing businesses and acquired funds for expansion. He has negotiated with buyers and investors, raised capital, obtained financing, and taken risks as a business owner. These experiences help him understand these processes from his clients’ perspectives.

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Because David is both a CPA and a private investment banker, he is able to handle multiple aspects of complex transactions:
• Helping a manufacturing company budget and acquire financing to meet the company’s rapid growth required by customer expectations.
• Devising a plan for a private business owner to sell the business early in a tax-advantaged transaction so he and his wife could pursue their dream to become missionaries.
• Helping a manufacturing company reorganize by splitting off a new division and forming an additional company to attract new partners which would ensure the company’s continued growth and stabilize its management team.
• Helping an agribusiness negotiate the sale of a partnership interest and reorganized its research and development unit into a family-owned partnership.
